Unbelievable Tokyo Breakfast Buffet for Just ¥1,800 (No Time Limit!)

all you can eat

“This is almost unfair for breakfast…!”
We discovered two surprisingly amazing breakfast buffets in Akasaka and Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Both are open to non-hotel guests, and unbelievably, they cost only 1,800 yen with no time limit.
In this article, we’ll introduce two breakfast buffets we personally experienced.

The first spot is Restaurant & Bar Shiki, located on the first floor of Hotel Asia Kaikan in Akasaka.
The restaurant has a calm and relaxing atmosphere and is open from 7:00 AM.
For non-guests, payment is made upon entry, and you can enjoy the buffet at your own pace with no time limit.

The food selection is a rich mix of Japanese and Western dishes.
A must-try highlight is the “100-Hour Curry.”
Slow-cooked to perfection, the roux is deeply rich with concentrated umami and a subtle sweetness—definitely something you should try at least once.
The red wine-braised beef tongue is also exceptional.
The meat is incredibly tender, offering a luxurious start to your day.

On the Japanese side, you’ll find staples like white rice, natto, simmered beef, and miso soup, along with options like tamago-kake gohan (raw egg over rice) and ochazuke.
The Western menu is equally impressive, featuring scrambled eggs, sausages, French toast, and even bone-in chicken—far more luxurious than a typical breakfast.
Bread can be reheated in a toaster, and items like croissants and salted rolls are especially delicious.

One unique feature is the DIY tacos and monaka (Japanese wafer desserts).
With the monaka, you can freely add toppings like shiratama (rice dumplings) and red bean paste, making it a fun, interactive dessert experience.
With all this variety for just 1,800 yen, it truly feels like an unbeatable deal.

The second spot is “Teke Teke” in Shinjuku.
It’s located on the basement floor of Nishitetsu Inn Shinjuku, and you purchase a breakfast ticket at the hotel front desk.
This buffet also costs just 1,800 yen with no time limit, making it another great deal.

The standout feature here is the quality of the chicken dishes.
Their signature Chicken Nanban is coated in a rich, creamy sauce that’s incredibly appetizing even in the morning.
They also offer garlic-flavored fried chicken and a chicken-packed fricassée-style dish—perfect for chicken lovers.

The Japanese menu is also well-stocked, with dishes like tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet), simmered vegetables, and small side dishes—all richly seasoned and perfect with rice.
The teriyaki yellowtail is especially flavorful and pairs beautifully with rice.
It’s even surprising to find Hakata-style motsunabe (offal hot pot) available.

Another highlight is “Keihan” (chicken rice).
You top it with various ingredients and pour broth over it, creating a light and comforting dish that’s perfect for breakfast.
After your meal, you can finish with something refreshing like yogurt or fruit punch.

Both spots offer a level of quality and satisfaction that’s hard to believe for just 1,800 yen in Tokyo.
Being able to enjoy your meal without worrying about time is another big plus.
If you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or great value for money, these are two places you definitely should visit.

Be sure to add these spots to your list for your next Tokyo food adventure.
