Unlimited Lunch Buffet 180m Above Tokyo Bay – Live Kitchen & Desserts at APA Hotel Makuhari

all you can eat

Located about 180 meters above ground on the 50th floor,
Sky Cruise Makuhari offers a truly special lunch buffet experience.

The biggest highlight here is the unlimited dining time.
From 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, you can relax and enjoy both the food and the spectacular views at your own pace.

Prices are ¥4,070 for adults on weekdays and ¥5,500 on weekends and holidays.
While weekends feel a bit more luxurious, the variety and quality of the buffet make it well worth the price.

The restaurant is spacious, and window seats are especially popular.
On a clear day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo Bay, making it a lunch experience quite literally above the city.

A Wide Variety of Dishes

The colorful bagna cauda stands out immediately, with its rich sauce enhancing the natural sweetness of the vegetables.
The chicken breast power salad and prosciutto salad are both fresh and vibrant, highlighting the quality of the ingredients.

Among the hot dishes, you’ll find hotel-style creations such as yurinchi (fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce), potato and cod frittata, and a unique jambalaya infused with cacao aroma.
The jambalaya, in particular, impressed me with its smoky cacao notes and mild spiciness that linger pleasantly.

Live Kitchen

Two types of pasta are prepared at the live kitchen:
Clam and mushroom peperoncino and carbonara.

The peperoncino delivers a bold flavor with anchovies, garlic, and chili peppers, giving it an authentic kick.
The carbonara is rich and creamy, offering great balance and satisfaction even in a small portion.

Sky Cruise Original Menu

One of the highlights is the Sky Cruise original galette, served fresh from the grill.
Each galette is carefully cooked one by one, and even the aroma alone is enough to whet your appetite.

Time Service (3 Rounds)

There are three time-service offerings during the buffet.

The first is roast beef, limited to one plate per person and served with a Japanese-style sauce.
Thanks to low-temperature cooking, the meat is incredibly moist, with the rich flavor of lean beef shining through.
This is definitely a must-try dish.

APA President’s Curry – A Fan Favorite

Another item not to be missed is the popular APA President’s Curry.
Its deep, rich flavor builds gradually, with the spice kicking in after a few bites.
The finely shredded cabbage adds a refreshing contrast.

Second Time Service

The second time service features a giant strawberry shortcake.
Light and fluffy sponge cake, gently sweetened whipped cream, and the bright acidity of strawberries come together beautifully—no wonder it’s such a popular item.

Third Time Service

The third round introduces pastry chef–crafted desserts.
The mini chocolate parfait is rich yet playful in texture, offering a satisfying finish.

A True “Dessert Heaven”

The dessert section truly lives up to the name sweets heaven.
The buffet includes gateau chocolate, soufflé cheesecake, fruit tarts, mango pudding, blancmange, and many more.

At the chocolate fondue station, you can enjoy dipping bananas, churros, and marshmallows to your heart’s content.

I ended the meal with cookies and a coffee financier, taking a moment to relax and enjoy the view.
With stunning scenery, a wide variety of dishes, and indulgent sweets—all without worrying about time—this lunch buffet offers excellent overall satisfaction.

Perfect for a special occasion or for anyone looking to enjoy a leisurely, refined lunch.
Thank you for the wonderful meal.
