An Elegant Lunch Experience at Park Hyatt Tokyo’s New York Grill

all you can eat

Hello, I’m Aya.
Today, I’m introducing the New York Grill Lunch Buffet at the luxury hotel Park Hyatt Tokyo, located in Shinjuku.

A Dining Room in the Sky: 52nd Floor of Park Hyatt Tokyo

The restaurant is located on the hotel’s top floor, the 52nd floor.
Guests first transfer elevators at the Peak Lounge on the 41st floor—an experience that feels like gradually ascending into the sky. Upon arrival, a breathtaking panoramic view of Tokyo unfolds, instantly immersing you in a world far removed from everyday life.

One Main Dish + Unlimited Appetizers and Desserts

The New York Grill lunch follows a refined yet generous format:
choose one main dish, while appetizers and desserts are served buffet-style with unlimited refills.

The price is ¥11,000, plus service charge.
During holiday lunches, a welcome glass of champagne is included. On this visit, I enjoyed French Bloom Rosé, setting an elegant tone for the meal.

Appetizers and desserts are available from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with no time limit, making this an excellent choice for those who want to dine slowly and leisurely.

An Impressive Selection of Appetizers

The appetizer buffet is exceptionally well curated.
Highlights include roast beef with horseradish cream, pâté de campagne enriched with foie gras, Akabuta pork ham, coppa salami, marinated Black Tiger prawns, marinated salmon, and bonito with a herb crust—an array of high-quality cold dishes befitting a luxury hotel.

The roast beef is tender and juicy, perfectly complemented by the refreshing sharpness of the horseradish cream.
The marinated salmon pairs beautifully with a tangy calamansi dressing, while the herb-crusted bonito is enhanced by the clean, aromatic heat of a yuzu kosho dressing.

Chosen Main Dish: Grilled Red Sea Bream from Ehime

For the main course, I selected the grilled fish of the day.
The dish featured red sea bream from Ehime Prefecture, expertly grilled and finished with a piperade sauce made from stewed tomatoes and bell peppers.

The refined umami of the sea bream blends harmoniously with the sauce’s gentle acidity and richness, while the crisp, aromatic skin adds depth to each bite. The natural sweetness of Botchan kabocha squash provided a lovely seasonal accent.

Freshly baked sourdough bread, served warm, was another standout. Enjoyed with butter, it was simple yet deeply satisfying.

Salads, Cheeses, and More Cold Dishes

A separate appetizer area offers mixed greens, Caesar salad, grilled onions with IPA dressing, edamame hummus, homemade ricotta, and a variety of cheeses.

The slow-grilled onions are wonderfully sweet, with the IPA dressing adding a distinctive character.
Paired with linden honey, the light homemade ricotta transforms into a dessert-like indulgence.

Desserts Served in a Relaxed Setting

Desserts are enjoyed in a separate seating area, allowing you to linger comfortably.
The selection includes lemon meringue tart, vanilla panna cotta, chestnut tart, New York cheesecake, dark berry crumble pie, and croissant raisin pecan caramel pudding—an impressive lineup that makes choosing just one nearly impossible.

The lemon meringue tart was refreshingly light, while the panna cotta stood out with its bright citrus notes.
The dark berry crumble pie offered a well-balanced contrast of sweet and tart flavors with a pleasingly crisp texture, and the chocolate mousse struck a perfect harmony between gentle bitterness and smooth richness.

On this day, live music filled the space with classic Christmas songs, enveloping the entire restaurant in an even more luxurious and festive atmosphere.

Conclusion

The New York Grill Lunch Buffet at Park Hyatt Tokyo is a luxurious experience where cuisine, views, and atmosphere come together seamlessly.
Being able to enjoy everything—from appetizers to desserts—without watching the clock is a major highlight.

Perfect for special occasions, celebratory meals, or a relaxed and indulgent afternoon, this is truly a refined lunch experience for adults seeking something extraordinary.
