This time, I visited the 28th-floor restaurant Celeste at Conrad Tokyo to enjoy their Autumn Flavors Lunch Buffet.
After passing through the lobby, highlighted by a striking red art installation, I was greeted by seasonal floral decorations, including Enkianthus perulatus.
From the windows, you can enjoy views of Hamarikyu Gardens and Tokyo Bay, making it a truly extraordinary setting for lunchtime.

At this lunch buffet, appetizers and desserts are all-you-can-eat, while you can choose one main dish from five options.
Prices start from ¥5,500, and the elegant setting paired with attentive hospitality makes it a truly enjoyable experience.

Appetizer Corner

Starting with the appetizers:
Blackthroat seaperch sushi rolls feature a savory grilled skin and a drizzle of miso sauce, highlighting the rich flavor of this seasonal luxury fish.

Fresh oysters are served with ponzu, red wine vinegar shallots, and lemon, allowing you to enjoy their rich and creamy taste in a refreshing way.

Pressed Hokkaido saury with eggplant is visually layered and fun to eat.

Hinai chicken liver mousse and Toyama white shrimp parfait are absolutely delicious when paired with baguette slices.

Sendai specialty beef tongue with salted lemon pinchos strikes a perfect balance of umami, acidity, and sweetness.

Okinawan Agu pork with spicy Sichuan sauce pairs the pork’s natural sweetness with a mild kick, while cucumber adds a refreshing touch.

Main Dish Selection

For the main course, you can choose one dish from five options.
I chose pan-seared Hokkaido scallops with crab risotto and uni feuilletine.
The risotto, cooked with stock made from lobster, delivers a gentle, rich flavor, enhanced by the salty umami of the sea urchin—a truly impressive taste.
The scallops are perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy inside.

Other enticing options include domestic tiger pufferfish with maitake tempura, Shinshu Alps beef Rossini-style, Hinata chicken and prawn ballotine, and Kyushu seafood bouillabaisse.

Salad & Bread Corner

The salad selection features healthy options such as silver-stripe round herring with white maitake, Akita Komachi rice and Oita Otohime vegetables in garlic rice salad, and seaweed and sea grapes from Sanriku.
Dressings include apple-based and Saga soy onion varieties, offering plenty of choices.
Bread options include mentaiko baguettes and rice roll bread, perfect to pair with the dishes.

Dessert Corner

The dessert selection is impressive:
Setouchi lemon and praline mousse is layered in three tiers, combining refreshing acidity with rich flavors.

Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc tart has a refined sweetness, complemented by a fragrant almond cream tart base.

Pear and Hokkaido cream cheese mousse contains pear jelly and is accented with raspberry cookie textures.

Noto baked sweet potato dessert uses Beni Haruka sweet potatoes, offering a warm and comforting taste.

Seasonal fruit options include fruit punch and the sweet-tart Shinshu apple jelly, leaving you fully satisfied through to the end of your meal.
