All-You-Can-Eat Sushi in Tsukiji: A Premium Experience at Tsukiji Magoeimon

all you can eat

■Basic Information

“Tsukiji Magoeimon” operates on a reservation-only basis and is open from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
You get a generous 2-hour dining limit.

They offer two all-you-can-eat courses:

Standard Course – 9,800 yen (tax included)

Premium Course – 12,800 yen (tax included)

Both courses include an all-you-can-eat sushi selection plus all-you-can-drink alcoholic beverages such as beer — an incredibly generous deal.

For this visit, I chose the Standard Course, paired with a non-alcoholic beer.

■The Meal Begins with “4 Dishes + Assorted Sushi

Your all-you-can-eat experience starts with four dishes selected by the restaurant, along with six pieces of recommended sushi and tamagoyaki.
The quality of this initial set immediately shows how high the restaurant’s standards are.

●1st Dish: Seared Tuna Cheek Salad
The tuna cheek has a beef-like firmness with a lightly roasted aroma.
It pairs beautifully with the Japanese-style dressing.

●2nd Dish: Assorted Sashimi
A luxurious selection of lean bluefin tuna, salmon, seared Spanish mackerel, scallops, and horse mackerel.
Each piece showcases its natural flavor, and the bluefin tuna was especially rich, tender, and outstanding.

●3rd Dish: Chawanmushi (Uni or Salmon Roe)
Warm uni spreads a gentle sweetness, offering a sense of luxury you don’t often experience.
The ikura version pops with a pleasant salty burst.

●4th Dish: Simmered Fish
Soft, flaky fish deeply soaked in a sweet-savory broth — so flavorful you’ll crave a bowl of rice to go with it.

●5th Dish: Recommended Sushi (6 pieces)
Medium-fatty tuna, amberjack, flounder, vinegared mackerel, shrimp, horse mackerel, and fluffy sweet tamagoyaki.
The bite-sized rice makes it perfect for an all-you-can-eat course.

■Now the Main Event: Sushi All-You-Can-Eat Begins

● Round 1 – 10 Pieces Full of Aroma and Umami
The seared anago was incredibly fragrant and sweet—truly “the best!”
Luxury items like otoro, uni, and nodoguro, which often cost extra elsewhere, are included without hesitation.
The crab gunkan was overflowing with real crab meat, giving it a wonderfully indulgent feel.

● Round 2 – Another 10 Pieces, From Ark Shell to Seared Toro Salmon
The seared vinegared mackerel was perfectly balanced with aroma and acidity.
Ikura, ark shell, kuruma-ebi, marinated tuna, salmon with takuan roll—an exciting mix of textures.
The tekka-maki, simple yet classic, highlighted the delicious flavor of the tuna.

● Round 3 – Final 5 Pieces
To finish, I ordered black porgy, seared anago, and medium-fatty tuna.
The black porgy had an elegant sweetness and pleasant firmness, making it an ideal final bite.

In total, I enjoyed 31 pieces of sushi.
Every piece was crafted with care, leaving me completely satisfied.
