Enjoy the taste of Tokyo! Luxurious Lunch Buffet at Cerise at Conrad Tokyo

all you can eat

Hello everyone, this is Aya!
This time, I visited the lunch buffet at “Cerise” restaurant on the 28th floor of the luxury hotel “Conrad Tokyo”.
Not only can you enjoy dishes that use plenty of local ingredients from Tokyo, but you can also enjoy many dishes and exquisite sweets as much as you like.

Access and buffet style

The nearest stations are Shiodome or Shinbashi. Head to the 28th floor of the Conrad Tokyo Hotel. Cerise’s buffet lunch is a half buffet style, where you can choose one main dish and eat all the other dishes and desserts you want.
The price is 6,500 yen per person (including tax and service charge), 120 minutes from 12:00 to 13:30.

An appetizer menu featuring “Tokyo’s Specialties

The buffet table is lined with tempting appetizers that showcase Tokyo’s culinary culture.

Edomae Tuna Nigiri
Stewed komatsuna and pork (exquisite in texture and flavor)
Fresh fish skewers and condiments (arranged with salmon roe marinated in soy sauce, sea urchin sauce, etc.)
All-you-can-eat raw oysters (4 kinds of condiments including ponzu, red wine vinegar and hot sauce)
Sea bream kombujime and nori tsukudani (moist sea bream and nori go well together)
Tokyo beef carpaccio with rape blossoms and butterbur miso sauce (tender and accented with the bitterness of butterbur miso)

Choice of main dish

For the main dish, choose one of five specialties.

1,Edomae conger eel tempura, Arabiata with spring greens and boiled conger eel
2,Tokyo Beef Steak Bowl (additional 1,000 yen)
3,Bouillabaisse of fresh fish caught in the morning
4,Cordon Bleu-style cutlet of tuna with roasted potato salad (a perfect harmony of rare tuna, cheese and prosciutto ham)
5,Tokyo Chicken Confit and Ballotine

I chose the Cordon Bleu-style cutlet of tuna. Crispy on the outside and rare on the inside, the flavor of the tuna and the richness of the cheese made it an exquisite dish!

All-you-can-eat exquisite sweets!

After dinner, there was an array of sweets that made the most of Tokyo’s ingredients.

Tokyo’s Milk Panna Cotta (the acidity of the strawberries and the mildness of the panna cotta were exquisite)
Tokyo’s milk custard pudding (freshly accented with soda pop)
Strawberry Shortcake (moderately sweet with a pronounced tartness of strawberries and blueberries)
Chocolate and coffee mousse (bitter flavor for adults)
Ham and cheese croissant (perfect balance of crispy dough and saltiness)

Summary

The lunch buffet at Cerise was an extravaganza of Tokyo charm.
The quality of both the food and sweets was high, and all were superb.
We had a blissful time at the buffet where we could taste all the ingredients of Tokyo.
