Enjoy the night view and exquisite gourmet food! Luxury Dinner Buffet at Hotel New Otani Tokyo

all you can eat

Today we visited the dinner buffet at “VIEW & DINING THE SKY” on the 17th floor, the top floor of Hotel New Otani Tokyo.
The restaurant we visited today offers a 360-degree night view.
The dinner price is 15,000 yen ($95USD) on weekdays,
17,000 yen ($108USD) on weekends and holidays, plus service charge.
The dinner is served for 2 hours.
Now, let me introduce you to the dishes.

First, let’s go to the sushi corner.
The sushi is made right in front of your eyes by a sushi chef. There are a wide variety of items such as salmon, tuna, white fish, raw shrimp, Ishigaki clams, fugu, herring, egg, salmon roe, and more.
You can order your favorite ingredients and eat as much as you like!
The salmon roe, in particular, was so plentiful that it almost spilled over, and the salty and sweet flavors were exquisite.

Next was tempura from the Japanese food corner.
Tempura is deep-fried to order and served hot.
There were eggplant, shrimp, megochi, shishito peppers, sweet potatoes, green onions, etc. The salt was also available in matcha salt, ume salt, and ume plum salt.
You can choose from matcha salt, ume salt, natural salt, or rock salt, and I chose ume salt.
I chose ume salt. I had never tasted megochi before, but the fluffy white meat was perfect for tempura.

Next was the teppan-yaki corner.
I ordered the teppan-yaki shabu of Kuroge Wagyu beef.
Japanese beef sirloin steak, small hamburger steak, and snow crab claws are also available.
You can choose between oroshi ponzu (grated ponzu) and tare (sauce), and the wagyu beef with oroshi ponzu was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

The Western food corner is also well-stocked.
Roast beef, roast chicken, beef stew, etc. are available, and the beef stew in particular is exquisite with the richness of white miso paste.
The roast beef was very tender and melted in my mouth.

The dessert corner is also not to be missed.
New Otani’s signature pancakes are an exquisite sweet treat blended with three types of cheese: ricotta, cream cheese, and mascarpone.
The moist and fluffy texture was impressive.
Other items on the menu include super melon shortcake, Pierre Hermé macaroons, Mont Blanc, and fruit sandwiches.
The super melon shortcake, in particular, was the best with its elegant sweetness and freshness of melon.

The two-hour buffet flew by.
The quality of the food was high and the service was excellent.
We had a luxurious time while enjoying the night view.
